Overview
Diamond & Co. were instructed to undertake a detailed condition survey exercise of the external building fabric of the Category B listed Cardinal Newman High School in Bellshill.
Due to the complex configuration of Cardinal Newman High School, our survey required to be itemised on a ‘roof by roof’ and ‘elevational’ basis to provide specific detailed comment on condition. To suitably inform our findings, we carried out both infrared/thermal surveys and electrostatic testing to identify breaches within the roof coverings and membranes.
Thereafter we provided subsequent recommendations for remediation works and delivery strategy on behalf of our client as part of a wider educational estate strategy.
To provide maximum value and to assist in the preparation of accurate drawing information, Diamond & Co.’s Survey Technology team undertook a laser scan/point cloud survey of Cardinal Newman High School to ensure maximum accuracy of existing drawings.
